This policy explains what data the Tessaris app processes, why, and how you stay in control.
Tessaris is played alone, offline, without an account. Online multiplayer changes that: to match you with an opponent, the app creates an anonymous account and publishes the nickname you choose, your rating and your ranked record. Nothing else. No data is ever sold, and you can delete everything from inside the game.

Single-player works entirely offline. The following is stored locally and nowhere else: your campaign progress and stars, your coins, your cosmetic items, your titles, your chests, your match history, along with your settings (language, sound, vibration, visual quality) and your advertising choice. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data erases all of it.
As soon as you open multiplayer, the app opens an anonymous account for you with Google Firebase Authentication. This account is tied to no email address, no phone number and no identity: it is a randomly generated technical identifier that lets the server recognise the same player from one game to the next.
The following is then stored on Google Cloud Firestore servers:
Choose a nickname that does not identify you if you would rather not be recognised: it is public.
If you sign in to Google Play Games, you can copy your single-player progress to your Google account and get it back on another device. That save is stored by Google, on your own account, not by the publisher. It contains your progress, your coins, your cosmetics, your online nickname, and the history of your recent multiplayer games — including the nicknames of the opponents you met, since that is what makes such a history readable. You can delete it from the game, or at any time from the Google Play Games app, which lists your saved games.
The app shows ads served by Google AdMob. In doing so, Google processes device identifiers and technical data in order to select and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent form is shown to you on first launch. If you decline, no ad is loaded or displayed at all: the app does not even initialise the advertising module, and the game stays fully playable. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Privacy. Google acts here under its own terms: policies.google.com.
In the game: Profile → Danger zone → "Delete my account". This erases your online profile, your anonymous account, your cloud save and all your local data. It is immediate and irreversible.

One exception, and it is deliberate: games already played are not deleted. A game belongs to your opponent as much as to you, and erasing it at the request of only one of the two players would strip the other of their own history.
The feedback button in the game opens your email app with a pre-filled message. We then receive your address and the content of your message, used only to reply to you and to fix what you report.
Tessaris is not intended for and not directed at children under 13. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 who has created an online profile, write to us and we will delete it.
The app relies on services provided by Google: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Play Games and AdMob. These services may process data outside the European Union, under Google's contractual safeguards. There is no other recipient.
Your online profile is kept until you delete it. Matchmaking tickets disappear within minutes. Games played are kept for the history of the players who took part in them. Local data lives on your device until you erase it.
Under applicable law, in particular the GDPR in the European Union, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Erasure is exercised directly in the game or through the deletion page; for anything else, write to studexu.contact@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
This policy may change along with the app. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced in the game.
